If I Could Turn Back Time

If you ask me if I could turn back time, what would I change?

And I will answer—nothing.

I don’t think altering anything in the past would make the future better. Maybe it could, but more than that, the lessons, the struggles, and the challenges have all shaped me. They’ve built me into the best version of myself. They’ve taught me to appreciate my values, to be stronger than before. At the very least, they’ve made me grow.

After a long journey, through my studies, through life, through every high and low, everything is starting to make sense now.

I have thrived.

I believe that we are never destined to fail or to gain nothing from stepping this far. At the very least, if you haven’t won yet, you’ve learned.

But then, something shifts. Everything changes when you shift your perspective. You can choose to see yourself as happy, fortunate, and capable of receiving great things, or you can perceive life as unfair, unlucky, and disappointing. It’s all about perspective and mindset. How you see the world determines whether your life feels fulfilling or empty, whether you embrace gratitude or fall into despair.

I love Steve Jobs’ idea of connecting the dots.  He once said, "You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future".

We often don’t see the meaning behind our experiences while we’re living them. The failures, the detours, the heartbreaks, maybe they feel frustrating and confusing the first time. But when we look back, we realize that every single moment was a necessary 'dot' leading us to where we’re meant to be.

That’s the beauty of life: we don’t always get what we planned, but we get what we need. And that’s why I wouldn’t change a thing.

Because every step, even the painful ones, has led me here.

And I wouldn’t trade here for anything.

Because in the end, maybe that’s what life is all about. Turning every moment, every challenge, into a story worth telling.

One day, I will write again.

I will tell my stories, not just for myself, but for those who need to hear them. Because storytelling is powerful. It heals. It connects. And maybe, just maybe, my words will become part of someone else’s dots, guiding them to their own beautiful journey.

And that? That’s a story worth telling.

Your writer,

Hasna
